Learn to paint a seascape using watercolours - 24th July at 6pm

£15.00

Learning watercolours, especially when painting a soothing seascape, is a wonderful journey into mindfulness, patience, and creative flow. Watercolour’s luminous, translucent layers allow you to blend soft blues, greens, and sandy neutrals that evoke the gentle movement of waves and tranquil horizon skies. You will be guided through the process of practicing wet-on-wet washes for seamless sea and sky transitions and add detail with wet-on-dry strokes, you naturally slow down, focusing on each brushstroke and colour choice.  This reflective process not only sharpens your technical skills—such as mastering gradients and texture—but also calms the mind, lowering stress and fostering a meditative state.  By working layer upon layer—light to dark—you build depth in the painting and in your creative confidence.  In the end, holding a finished seascape you’ve created feels like holding a moment of peace, a gentle reminder that art can be both a creative expression and a pathway to inner calm.
