Kintsugi workshop

£35.00

Monday 21st September at 6.30pm

Join us at Robins Hobby Cafe for a relaxing and creative Kintsugi workshop, exploring the ancient Japanese art of repairing broken pottery with beautiful golden seams. Kintsugi celebrates the cracks and imperfections rather than hiding them, giving broken pieces a new lease of life. Bring along your own ceramic item to repair — ideally something broken into around 4 or 5 pieces rather than smashed into a thousand! If you don’t have a suitable piece, don’t worry, as we can provide one for you. A little patience is definitely helpful, as Kintsugi is a slow and mindful process, but no previous experience is needed. Come along, take your time, and discover the beauty in something that was once broken.
